Restoration
Nick writes:
‘The hull is sound with no significant problems and she is incredibly strongly built, but a few ribs could do with replacing although not essential. We have rebuilt the coachroof (frames and planking) which has now been glassed with epoxy. We are in the middle of rebuilding the foredeck and replacing a few beams. The rest of the deck is sound.
‘The mast is a beautiful wooden spar which we have stripped and checked over, and repaired a few small cracks along the grain and then begun varnishing. She needs putting back together but we have all the parts.’
