Southward
The 3rd boat in the fleet, Southward was built for Norman Reid of Bangor in 1947.
(See below a copy of the original statement issued by the shipyard and a log from the Clyde Cruising Club)

Originally powered with a Morris engine and sails made by Gowen, Norman owned the boat from 1947 until 1954. The boat was then bought by John Rainey of Belfast. He replaced the sail wardrobe and continued ownership until 1960. A short ownership under Ian Reynard followed from 1960-1962, at this time Southwards original engine had been replaced by a 20BHP BMC from '58. The boat then passed to J.C Weir of Belfast until 1967. This seems to be where the records end until the last ten years when boat was sadly lost to fire as a result of a heat gun mishap during refit.
